All of these items can be found at www.net-a-porter.com
I was in Seattle for my 3 year anniversary. We stayed at Hotel Max, which we really enjoyed and I reccomend.
We went into a great sale at Nordstrom. I got the following:
1 Emerald Green Juicy Couture Blouse with a Mallard print on it. Gorgeous. 200$ I will post a picture of me wearing it in the near future.
(I couldn’t find a picture of this blouse on the interwebs, which leads me to believe that only a few were made and sold, but if your super curious they did a kids dress in the same print. Google “Juicy Couture Mallard print dress” and you’ll see the material.)
1 pair of Steve Madden slouchy boots.

These boots are on sale for 100$ and can still be purchased online at
and at a Vintage store on Virginia st. I found this incredible stretchy bright purple belt with a gold clasp at the frount. One of a kind and only 20$ Picture coming soon of the belt in action.
Yesterday I also invested in a super soft coral fitted Talua tank top from Aritzia to put underneat cardigans and all that good stuff. $45
Those 3 items alone broke my bank a bit, but oh the outfits I will be creating. One im really looking forward to is my black shorts from H&M (15$), the blouse and the boots, with the clutch mentioned in previous entry.(50$)
Now I just have to find a Social event to partake in. I have nowhere to go to showcase my style ideas.
Untill Next time.
xoxo
We’re in the middle of summer. Shorts and tanks, skirts and sandals, and its already time to start thinking about what you want your closet to look like when fall rolls around.
If you take a look at your favorite stores, all of their summer gear is on sale… and instictivly you’re buying summer clothes.
STOP.
What you should be considering is the new FALL clothes that are in there at the back of the store in the ‘full price’ section.
I have 4 items that I think need to be in our closet in some shape or form.
1.) The Blouse.

Chloe. This simple angular neck line and flowing fabric is so perfect for the transition from summer to fall, when the weather is breezy yet warm.

Moschino. Super cute bow-tie, flowing sleeves, neutral colour…. this is perfect.

dVf, simple pattern. Ruffled detail. Pair it with a penil skirt or skinny jeans and you’re looking elegant in the fall afternoons.

Stella McCartney slouched boots. The colour is so stella, but i like it with dark bottoms of any kind really. The slouched leg brings a casual feel, while the 3 inch heal takes it up a notch (or litterally 3!)
3.) Straight Leg Trouser.

Alexander McQueen. These are so posh. Its not always appropriate to wear jeans, dont forget! But you also dont need to wear formal trousers to work all the time either! These are formal in all the right ways, and are easliy paired down.
4.)The Clutch.

Nancy Gonzales. Rich melot red. Snakes skin print to spice things up. A structured bag to offset the flowing blouses and slouchy boots you may be sporting!
Over all im working on practising what I preach.
I have aquired the following…
1 black square clutch from aldo assesories.
1 pair of black ‘equestrian’ style straight leg wilfred pants, Available at your local Aritzia.
I am not usually a pink person, but lately I find myself drawn to HOT pink… (no baby pink allowed… grow up) I swear my hot pink scarf all the time because i don’t have an abundance of great hot pink dresses or tops. This urge lead me to some discoveries. HOT PINK DISCOVERIES. Thanks fashion world.

Something a little more formal by mr. Alexander McQueen. The front drape is such an exclaimation point on this otherwise simple satin evening dress, and of course the sight of the belted waist that we’re seeing take over the nation makes its appearance. The structured sholders are also great, but dont fool yourself… this doesn’t work on every body.

This number is designed by Development. You could litterally wear this ANYWHERE. I bet its super comfy too! Its also PINK!

This is a little Helmut Lang action. Super casual, layered (which I will always think is a good idea), but still noticably pink.

AND the jolt of PINK in the form of Christian Louboutins. Paired for the evening with a simple black dress and clutch the shoes POP.
The Prediction
BELTED SWEATER DRESSES FOR FALL!!!!! get them for cheaper RIGHT NOW, if you can find them… cause you’ll be the hottest ass on the block before anyone else… I SWEAR. Get your colour fix out now, cause come fall… the colour scheme hasn’t changed since last year. GREY GREY BLACK GREY…dontforgetgrey.
